    This is a unknown native grass, especially to reference books. S. bakeri is a dramatic clumper 4' wide x 4' tall with a fountain of narrow foliage and an almost weeping form. The plumes are reddish, although ours has yet to flower. S. bakeri grows in regular soil or in swamps...a great bog plant, either as a specimen or in mass.
