Sisyrinchium bermudianum is hopelessly confused in horticulture, and virtually all of the plants sold as such in the US are actually Sisyrinchium idahoense. Therefore, we traveled to Bermuda to collect seed of the real thing...oh, the sacrifices we make for horticulture! Each 10" wide, small iris-like clump is topped, from spring into summer, with small, blue-lavender flowers. We have found many Bermuda natives to be surprisingly winter-hardy. I doubt we can return soon, so get them while they last.
