Sempervivum 'Beta' from the late renowned German plant breeder Georg Arends (1863-1952), has been a star in our rock garden, forming a 2' wide patch in 3 years. It's amazing vigor and tolerance of our humid heat and summer rains has been nothing short of phenomenal. Each 2.5" wide x 2" tall rosette is carmine red with each leaf ending in a contrasting olive band.
