    We would like to thank SPEPS member Bob Snyder of Winston-Salem NC, for sending us seed of another cold hardy Sabal palmetto...this one growing in the town of Mt. Holly on the west side of Charlotte, NC. Planted in the 1960's, these 18-20' palms have survived -5 degrees F in their current location. These plants are 1 1/2 years old and growing in 1 quart pots.
