This is one of the hardy native southern palms, easily handling temperatures between 0 and -10 degrees F. Sabal minor is a bush palm, since the trunk grows downward (trunks can grow to 5' deep) instead of upward...plant dyslexia at its finest. Each blue-green leaf can reach several feet in length and width. In summer, the long, arching flower spikes to 6' are covered with blue berries...a great textural addition to any garden! Our seedlings are grown from local hardy plants.
