Ruellia malacosperma White Flower Form (not to be confused with White Flower Farm) was a gift from the late Texas plant guru, Logan Calhoun. After several years of growing this selection, it has proven to be one of the finest southern US native plants that we have trialed. From a dormant crown, the 3' tall green stalks emerge in spring, each clothed with green, oval leaves. From July through September, the plants are home to hundreds of 1" round, pure white flowers. Ruellia is great in wet sites or in very dry ground...incredibly adaptable!
