This phenomenal native is the perfect choice for the low maintenance garden. Native to alkaline prairie and roadside sites from NC to West Virginia, this black eyed Susan is adaptable to virtually any garden. In spring, the basal rosette of foliage gives rise to 4-5' tall sturdy stalks, which are topped all summer with hundreds of orange coneflowers. The plants are named for the foliage which will often have three lobes. R. triloba will reseed quite well around the parent clump... stunning!
