Thanks to Bill Cullina of The New England Wildflower Society, the plant of our dreams has finally arrived. This white-edged seedling of our native polemonium is quite vigorous compared to the "plant of our nightmares," the pitifully weak-growing P. caeruleum 'Brise D'Anjou'. This woodland charmer makes a small clump of cutleaf green foliage edged in white. When exposed to summer heat, the older foliage changes to green. In early-to-mid April (NC), the clumps are topped with short spikes of blue flowers...a truly delightful plant!
