(syn: P. alpinus 'Purple King') This vigorous 1990 New Zealand selection of the easy-to-grow Australian mountain native, makes a low-spreading mound similar to a groundcover juniper. The thick needles turn a beautiful chocolate purple in the winter months. In 10 years, expect a shrub to 18" tall x 6' wide.
