Imagine if all our native plants were variegated? Here's the chance to get a good start with a new selection of our native Phlox paniculata from Dutch plant breeder Rene van Gaalen. P. 'Rubymine' has mildew-resistant blue-green leaves that are each surrounded with a creamy white border. When grown in bright sun, the leaves also take on a reddish cast. In midsummer, the vigorous clumps (even in hot, humid climates) are topped with large tresses of light pink flowers, each highlighted with a dark red eye...amazing!
