Phlox 'Barfourteen' is another in the line of great phlox with stupid names...I hope you will drop a note to the folks at Bartel's Breeding in the Netherlands and offer to help them properly name their plants. H. 'Barfourteen' makes a compact clump of dark green foliage to 15" tall, topped in midsummer with branched flower heads of purple flowers (RHS 72A). If you've been looking for a nice compact selection of our native phlox, this is it!
