(aka: Iris dichotoma x Iris domestica) This lovely strain of candy lilies (Pardanthopsis dichotoma x Belamcanda chinensis) is one we have grown in the garden for nearly a decade with numerous requests to share, so here they are. The basal iris-like growth emerges from a deciduous rhizome and is topped in midsummer with 3' tall stalks, each ending in a terminal cluster of 2" flowers. Each flower is comprised of alternating petals...one golden yellow and the next magenta. This is a seed strain, so each plant will have slightly different flower colors, but the basic pattern is the same.
