Special thanks to our friend Brent Heath who shared this fascinating Oxalis triangularis selection back in 2003. As best as we can determine, this selection has never been commercially introduced before. The foliage, which emerges in spring, is solid black-purple, which is highlighted beautifully by the pure white flowers that adorn the clump in spring and again in fall. Oxalis 'Black Beauty' has behaved admirably in its 16-year trial run in our garden.
