This great oxalis is another to add to the attractive, hardy, non-invasive species list. O. lasiandra is attractive just for the unique green foliage that bulb-guru Scott Ogden describes as "resembling little palm trees." The 1' wide clumps are topped, for most of the summer, with stalks of cerise-pink flowers held just above the foliage. Unfortunately, it is mistakenly listed in many bulb books as only hardy to Zone 9. This is an absolute delight that should be in all warm temperate gardens.
