This selection of the easy-to-grow Mexican native O. deppei is similar to O. 'Iron Cross', except that only the outline of the cross is evident in the leaf pattern. Each 15" wide clump emerges in May and makes a superb garden plant...not spreading or reseeding. Starting in June, the clumps are topped with 1' tall spikes of brilliant pink flowers.
