For the vertically impaired comes the latest in a parade of mondo grass cultivars from Japan...looking like a lawn after the mower had been set on "scalp." This rock garden-sized Ophiopogon japonicus 'Super Dwarf' forms tiny 1.5" tall x 5" wide, tufts of narrow, green foliage, and the rate of spread is proportionally slow. Ophiopogon japonicus 'Super Dwarf' is about 1/3 the size of the true Ophiopogon 'Gyoku Ryu' with which it is sometimes confused in the trade.
