Honey, I shrunk the banana. Yes, we now have a truly vertically challenged banana for those into midget gardening. This Randy Salter introduction occurred as a mutation on the popular M. 'Novak'. Musa 'Little Prince' makes a stocky, bold-texture dwarf with green leaves that are heavily flecked with red (in sun). In colder climates, it can be used as a container plant or bedding plant for the back of the bed...yes, bananas and petunias as a bedding scheme. I've got it...bananas as an indoor windowsill plant. Oh, bad idea...monkey poop in the dish water...Mama will not be happy.
