Molinia caerulea 'Moorflamme'

After excelling in our garden trials, we are pleased to add some exceptional selections from the Eurasian ornamental grass genus, Molinia. Molinia 'Moorflamme' is a German selection that forms a deciduous clump with foliage to only 18" tall, topped, starting in late June (NC) with airy 4' tall flower spikes. Molinias are great designer plants to mix into the perennial border, since, as clump formers, they aren't aggressive near other perennials. Full to part sun and average to moist soils are the keys to success.
