This is everyone's favorite native groundcover for the shade. The tiny, button sized, round green leaves adorn the dark creeping stems, creating a superb ground hugging mat in even the densest shade. The small white flowers metamorphose into bright red berries that make a dramatic feature in the fall and winter landscape... great to under plant hostas and ferns.
