xMangave 'Wag the Dog', a 2025 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction, is a wild new mangave, selected by plantsman Hans Hansen as a creamy bordered sport of the heavily speckled xMangave 'My Dog Spot'. Imagine an 9" tall x 17" wide rosette that resembles an octopus with rigor mortis, after being handed off to a Seurat-inspired pointillist painter. This hybrid involves Agave macroacantha, Agave geminiflora, and Agave gypsophila ssp. pablocarrilloi.
