    This is our difficult to find native aroid, affectionally nicknamed skunk cabbage. The tropical looking glossy green foliage gives a unique look to the bog garden (will grow only in bogs, swamp, etc). In the spring before the foliage arises, the spectacular giant yellow arum like blooms can be seen...and smelled! There will be no wonder why they call it "skunk cabbage".
