Lycoris x straminea 'Hill Beyond Hill' is a lycoris hybrid (Lycoris chinensis x Lycoris radiata) we received a couple of decades ago, created by China's Dr. Lin and distributed by plantsman Jim Waddick. The 20" tall pinkish-brown stalks are topped for us, starting in late August/early September with narrow salmon-peach buds that open to very frilly, medium yellow flowers with a central peach stripe down each petal. The flowers age to almost pure salmon-peach. The foliage emerges in fall and goes dormant in spring. In our climate, Lycoris 'Hill Beyond Hill' has been a very reliable bloomer.
