(aka: Lycoris Adams #45) Lycoris 'Appleblossom' is a 2023 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a rare and truly unique Phil Adams hybrid, a menage-a-trois cross of Lycoris radiata var. pumila x Lycoris sprengeri 'Haywardii' x Lycoris chinensis 'Sperryi'. The 17" bronze stalks emerge for us in early September, topped with small frilly white flowers. Almost immediately, the exserted anthers turn salmony pink, followed by the petals, so the overall effect is white with a strong pink overlay. Lycoris 'Appleblossom' has proven to be an excellent flowering clone in our trials. The foliage emerges for us in mid-October.
