Lycoris x rosea 'Cherry Chief' is a 2020 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a Phil Adams cross of Lycoris sprengeri x Lycoris radiata. The 22" stalks emerge for us in early August, each topped with up to six, brilliant cherry red, spidery flowers, with each petal tipped in a blue-purple blush...stunning. The foliage emerges in fall and grows all winter.
