(aka: Lycoris PA2046) Lycoris x rosea 'Burning Hearts' is a 2019 Plant Delights/Juniper Level Botanic Garden release of a Phil Adams fertile multi-generational cross of Lycoris (sprengeri x sprengeri 'Hayward') x [radiata x (radiata x sprengeri)]...whew! Lycoris x rosea 'Burning Hearts' emerges as 20" tall stalks, topped, starting for us in late July (NC) with a stunning display of vivid rosy red flowers with each petal dipped in purple. The liriope-like foliage emerges in late October and grows all winter, before hibernating in mid-spring.
