We are thrilled to finally name and introduce for 2024, an amazing Margot Williams (USDA) hybrid of Lycoris longituba x chinensis, made back in the 1970s, and thought to be lost. Fortunately, California lycoris guru, Phil Adams was gifted a bulb, that he maintained for the last 40 years, before sharing with us. Starting for us in late August, the sturdy 26" tall spikes are each topped with up to 8 large, butter yellow flowers, beaming in the garden like a ray of sun. As you can imagine, quantities are very limited. Because of the spring-emerging foliage, it should follow others of the same parentage with winter hardiness into Zone 4.
