This 2020 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a magical Phil Adams cross, Lycoris aurea x Lycoris radiata var. pumila, that forms a clump of 22" tall bronzy stalks in mid-September. Topping the stalks are clusters of 6-8, airy, narrow-petalled, heavily ruffled, light yellow flowers. The following day, the yellow stamens take on a chablis blush, and by the next day the petal edges also magically pick up the same blush. Watching a clump of Lycoris 'Yellow Swallowtail' is truly magical in the fall garden.
