Lilium 'Tiger Babies' is a fascinating Judith Freeman introduction of a polyploid 3-way hybrid of the white Lilium regale, the orange spotted tiger lily, Lilium lancifolium, and Asiatic lilies. The 4' tall stalks are topped, starting for us in early June (NC), with widely-branched sprays of soft peachy orange, nicely-spotted, lightly-fragrant, 4" flowers with recurved petal tips. The flowers are favorite nectar sources for butterflies.
