This splendid lantana has set the new standard for garden performance, so we are including it in our new hardiness trials. This hybrid of L. camara x L. montevidensis makes a low spreading mound to 18" tall x 36" wide, smothered from June until frost with hundreds of golden (RHS 23A) flowers. The beauty is that L. 'New Gold' doesn't waste time setting seed and therefore puts more energy into flowering. The awards just keep coming...a Mississippi Medallion winner, an Athens Select winner, a Texas Superstar winner...everyone loves Lantana 'New Gold'.
