Our collection of the easy-to-grow miniature bog buttons originally came from Highway 211 in Brunswick County, NC. This amazing, but virtually unknown native is found from Virginia to Mississippi, both in the piedmont and coastal plain regions...usually in moist ditches and pinelands. The small tuft of green foliage that reaches only 2-3" in height is topped from summer until fall with 4-5" tall alien-like antennae (flowers). Moist soils and good sun are required for cultivation, although it adapts very well to container culture. Bog buttons is a real cutie that kids, both young and old will enjoy!
