While they don't run around literally, hesperaloe do run around in the biblical sense, and as a result there a number of hesperaloe hybrids found around the Southwest. We feel that most of these are hybrids of H. parviflora and H. funifera. These hybrids are extremely vigorous, making fast-clumping plants to 3' tall x 5' wide. The clumps of upright dark green boat-shaped leaves are covered with white hair, even at a young age. The flower spikes range from 5-9' in height, topped in summer with peachy colored flowers. These are seed grown, so each plant is slightly different. Full sun is recommended for best performance.
