This hard to find hybrid of H. argutifolius x H. lividus resembles H. argutifolius with toothed edges to the trifoliate leaves. From the H. lividus genes, the plant attains a shorter stature. In late winter, the clumps are topped with 6" stalks of light green bell like flowers. H. sternii is a superb addition for winter interest in the woodland garden...good drainage is essential.
