(aka: Ligularia tussilaginea 'Kin Kan') Thanks to Louisiana plantsman Wayne Womack for originally sharing this wonderful leopard plant, ending years of searching. It's taken us nearly a decade since we first offered Farfugium 'Kin Kan' to build up enough stock to offer it again, so don't delay in getting yours. Farfugium 'Kin Kan' forms an amazing 2' tall x 5' wide clump with large, 1' wide, shiny green leaves which emerge in spring with a dazzling, narrow, creamy-yellow border. In our summers, the border color often fades by midsummer, leaving an all-green clump for the remainder of the season. In October, Farfugium 'Kin Kan' is topped with 3.5' tall spikes of bright yellow daisies. All Farfugium japonicum enjoy well-drained, but slightly moist, woodland soils...no bogs like many allied ligularia species.
