This dazzling and durable form of Euphorbia characias ssp. wulfenii was selected by the late Margery Fish of East Lambrook Manor in Somerset, England. It was later awarded with the prestigious AGM (Award of Garden Merit) by the Royal Horticultural Society. E. 'Lambrook Gold' forms 3' + tall fleshy upright purple-tinged stems that are topped with 5" long fuzzy grey-green linear leaves. Starting in early spring and lasting into early summer, the stems are topped with dazzling large golden-yellow flower heads. After flowering, cut back the old stems, and the plants will resprout from the basal shoots. E. 'Lambrook Gold' requires good drainage, particularly during the winter months.
