From this cross (E. alpinum x grandiflorum), E. x rubrum makes a vigorous growing semi-evergreen clumper of light green heart-shaped foliage, heavily margined and mottled with red in spring. Also in spring, the clumps are topped with stalks of rosy-red flowers... simply stunning! We recommend removing the old foliage in late winter to allow for a better floral show.
