    This East Asian native belongs to the complex group of autumn ferns that are poorly understood, but well-represented by D. erythrosora. D. fuscipes has triangular, semi-evergreen fronds with the new fronds showing the classic reddish coloration. Each 2' wide clump is at home in the woodland garden.
