Dryopteris dickinsii 'Crispa' has long been a favorite fern in our garden, and we have finally gotten around to propagating them. Despite its widespread native habitat from India to Taiwan, where it can be found along watercourses at elevations between 3,000' and 8,000', Dryopteris dickinsii is rarely seen in gardens. For us, it has proven amazingly easy in cultivation under a wide range of conditions. The solitary 15" tall x 2' wide rosette of evergreen foliage is composed of delightfully ruffled leaves...we think you'll really enjoy this unique woodland fern.
