(aka: A2LA-CU5) I first saw this specimen in the wildflower garden of Jack and Ella Price near Shreveport, LA. Their local selection of Dryopteris celsa (native from Michigan south to Louisiana) was much taller and narrower than any that were in the trade...and certainly more heat tolerant. They were nice enough to share, and now we are able to make this form available. The evergreen clumps are composed of dark brown stipes holding the dark green, 3.5' tall x 8" wide fronds.
