This plant has been offered under a variety of names, primarily D. sessile, which is either a different plant or a different form of D. sessile. We'll let the taxonomists argue over this. D. pullum 'Variegatum' is a woodland perennial that spreads nicely through the garden, but not in a thug-like manner. The 10" stems are clothed with green leaves edged with a wide white band. In late summer and fall, the tips of the stalks are adorned with round black fruit. This fairy bell is perfect to help brighten a dark woodland garden where root competition makes gardening difficult.
