(syn: Athyrium pycnocarpon) Native in moist, rich woodlands from Minnesota south to Louisiana, Diplazium pycnocarpon is a fabulous, easy-to-grow, clumping native fern that should be included in every woodland garden. The arching sterile fronds of glade fern can reach 3' long, forming a 3-4' wide deciduous clump. The fertile fronds stand erect in the center of the clump...simply stunning!
