Dasylirion sereke is a little-known sotol named by the late Agave guru Howard Gentry and hails from Chihuahua, Mexico, between 5,500' and 6,500' elevation. Dasylirion sereke resembles Dasylirion durangense but appears to be in the midst of speciation, possibly representing an old hybrid with the nearby Dasylirion gentryi. The spiny blue-green evergreen leaves form a symmetrical rosette to 4' tall x 5' wide, eventually forming a short trunk.
