Cypripedium 'Otto' is a 1991 Werner Frosch hybrid of the European native Cypripedium calceolus and its North American cousin Cypripedium parviflorum var. pubescens. Cypripedium 'Otto' is a vigorous hybrid, topped in early spring with large, lightly-fragrant bright yellow pouches, each highlighted by three twisting amber sepals. Cypripedium 'Otto' is easy to grow and clumps well in the garden when situated in a rich, slightly moist, but well-drained soil. Our offerings are all flowering-sized plants.
