Crinum 'Temple Bells' is one of the best introductions from the late crinum breeder Marcelle Sheppard...a cross of Crinum macowanii x Crinum scabrum 'Rose City Schoolhouse'. Crinum 'Temple Bells' forms a large rosette of wide, glaucous green foliage, topped, starting in late June (NC) with 3' tall stalks, each ending in 15-18 sweetly-fragrant, tubular white flowers, heavily striped with burgundy on the flower keels.
