    We obtained spores of this bamboo fern from our friend Ozzie Johnson of Georgia, who had collected it in Japan. This bamboo fern is similar to Coniogramma japonica in growth and 3' tall fronds, but the pinnae are narrower than normal. Expect a 3' wide clump in 5 years under good growing conditions...moist organic soils.
