(syn: Diurantha major) Having seen this growing in the wild during my 1996 expedition to Yunnan, China, where it grows to nearly 10,000' elevation, I have renewed appreciation for this woodland gem. Picture the narrow green leaves of a hardy, clumping spider plant emerging from the base of each 1' wide clump from early summer until frost and upright spikes of small, fragrant, white, star-shaped flowers on 18" stems. This is a superb addition to the woodland garden.
