    For winter excitement in the garden, try this recent introduction from Oregon's Mitsch Nursery... a sport from C. pisifera 'Squarrosa Lutea'. Similar to regular gold thread cypress, (C.p.'Filifera Aurea Nana'), C. 'Lemon Thread' makes a 10' x 6' wide mound of weeping, brilliant golden, lacy, threadlike foliage in 10 years and by year 20, tops out at 25' tall x 15' wide. Whether it's the middle of winter or the middle of summer, C. 'Lemon Thread' looks the same... unless under a snowdrift!
