Despite all of the new introductions, the gold thread cypress is still our favorite. In ten years, this perfectly conical conifer makes a specimen 10' tall x 6' wide. Unfortunately, some nurseries offer sheared balls of this plant and promise that it will stay dwarf...forget it! This beautiful gold thread (resembling my overcooked spaghetti noodles) retains the brilliant gold foliage all season... a true beacon in the garden... outstanding!
