Cardamine 'Fairy Lights' is a 2022 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of our selection of the native woodland spring ephemeral toothwort, Cardamine bulbosa, from Calhoun County, Alabama. Unlike our previous compact pink-flowered introduction Cardamine douglassii 'Southern Lady', which emerges in November, Cardamine bulbosa 'Fairy Lights' emerges from dormancy in October, and by mid-March is topped with 17" tall stalks, ending in clusters of tiny white bells...a great companion plant for hellebores and other late winter woodland gems.
