Aucuba japonica 'Shonan Mangetsu' is a highly-prized Japanese selection, with bright yellow-centered foliage, edged with a border of speckled green and gold. This superb clone was first introduced into the US from Japan by plantsman Barry Yinger, and this is the first time we've had enough to share since we purchased our original plant in 2010. Aucuba 'Shonan Mangetsu' is a female clone, so you should get bright red fruit in the winter if there is a male form nearby.
