Asplenium scolopendrium 'Crispum' is a highly-prized, unusual strain of the evergreen Hart's-tongue fern that has been in cultivation since the mid-1600s...now that's real staying power. The 1'+ long, wide, glossy green leaves are both heavily undulate and serrate on the leaf edge, which exaggerates the appearance of the cresting. In the garden, moist nearly alkaline soil with good drainage is the key to success...a real showstopper in the woodland garden.
